We are deeply saddened by the death of Vicki Cruse at an air show accident on August 22, 2009. She was an outstanding pilot who genuinely cared about people and aviation. She will be greatly missed by all who knew her.

Most people who are afraid to fly deal with that fear by avoiding airplanes. Not Vicki. She faced her fears head-on and overcame them so dramatically, her story belongs in the history of 21st century aviation. We at Lightspeed Aviation were so proud that she chose to be associated with us.

Below is the original description of her video:

Vicki Cruse almost gave up flying right after she got her pilot's license. She was afraid of what might happen in the air. Here's how she overcame those fears and went on to become the U.S. National Aerobatics Champion. She flies an Edge 540 and wears a Zulu headset by Lightspeed. (www.lightspeedaviation.com)

  • It's a commercial? This is the first commercial I saw that is over 2 and a half minutes. I thought it was a biography or something.

  • It appeared to be a headset' commercial? Expensive noise- cancelling headsets DON'T dull out the physicall thud of an aircraft hitting Silverstone that day. But that place remained respectively very quiet for a long time.. Thankfully the competition continued, in rememberance of a loss.

  • nice way to scare people away from aviation.....

  • And she died how? Plane crash in which she was the sole manipulator of the controls. Sad? Yes. But like Amelia Earhart a very POOR role model for women in aviation and women aspiring to become a pilot.

  • I don't appreciate watching videos for 2 minutes only to find it is a COMMERCIAL for a product that they state will help you in a life or death situation, Our fear based society has got to change. Thanks for helping me make my decision ZULU, it is either a Bose or Dave Clark X-10 now.

  • Sad that she didnt make it, but we all gotta go sometime.

  • To bad she got killed!

  • some people never know what it is like when most of your life is so close to the edge.......Im more sad for them than I am for vicki.

    rip vicky.

  • 尊敬していました。天国で会いましょう。
