@InequaIity What makes it a piece of shit? I highly enjoyed the film. It was gritty, real, and brought how dark that day was for everything High School stands for to light.

@Bhethar That's the point. It wasn't supposed to explain anything. Whenever this happens in real life, not much is ever explained either. The director just wanted to show different types of kids going about their normal routine, only to be killed by two selfish and ignorant pussies, just like what happened at Columbine, Virginia Tech, ect.

they werent gay in the movie. geeze. they mention in dialogue that neither of them had ever kissed someone so they kissed in the shower to experience a kiss because they knew they'd never get the chance after the unloaded the horrot

Although the acting in this movie is terrible, this is a work of art in what it represents. I'm sure in time their'll be an incredibly chilling school shooting movie with extremely violent scenes of murder, accompanied by talented acting.

I didn't view the shower scene as a way of implying that Eric and Dylan or the characters of Elephant were gay. The characters both express that they've never kissed anyone before, and without any romance, proceed to have a sort of affected kiss. To me, this scene showed two boys who were so isolated, they never experienced any physical intimacy. This was their last chance to embrace the human touch before their imminent demise, and this was their only way of achieving that. Poignant, no?
