So, because the environmental wackos want to save a two inch fish, the farmers cant grow OUR FOOD!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
What more has to happen before we kick these idiotic morons out of office!!!
There is absolutely NO WAY we can support our country without FOOD!
California, you are without a doubt, the most inept government on the face of the earth! You have destroyed the most fertile lands in our country to save a damn fish!!!!!!!!!!!!

I don't see how that means anything to the bigger question.
Is California's water issue it's own issue or does the rest of the country have a say in the matter?

I think a better Idea is to move water around the country. Because there is a profit in gasoline we can move it by pipeline from the Ship Channel in Houston all the way to New Jersey. so why don't we move water the same way.
When the forcast calls for heavy rain in a area we begin pumping lakes and resorvois down to other areas. This would make better use of the Simiulus money than giving it to acorn.
State and Fed are supposed to be looking ahead not spending to get re-elected.

One of the few things that we should expect our State Governments to do is look to the future and make plans to supply the needs of the State. Things like `WATER'. However the nut cases that run California have done nothing. Their system was designed for 18 million and now they have double that. No one looked ahead and made preperations.
The Feds should be using the Stimulus money to put in pipelines to move water around the nation. When we have a flood Lakes should be pumped to other areas.

i think its a pretty good idea for us to take care of our water...no?
unless we want to pay ridiculous sums for bottled water from private companies...
meanwhile coke, pepsi and others are buying up fresh water resources throughout the world in prep...
the next wars will be fought over water...
no privitization of water...water is a basic human right...

I think it is sad too. I am not a supporter of Senator Feinstein, however she has a voting record that puts her to the right of her party and she consistently ranks as one of the most conservative Democrats. The state is unfortunately too heavily influenced by the Democratic Party right now. It is geographically a deeply red state, with most of SoCal being heavily Republican and most of the interior of the state being also very Republican, but the areas like LA Cnty and Bay Area are very liberal
If those farmers don't get water, she will be out of a job next term. Its as simple as that.

Water is a huge and complicated issue. Yeah, it runs downhill and if you turn it off it stops....
