Chrono Trigger (Part 129) - Lavos Core Part 2

The final fight in the game! The fight is pretty basic but it can be confusing if you don't understand it at first.

Destroy the left bot first. This bot heals the center and allows the right bot to retain an extremely high defensive value. Make sure to take this out first (it only has about 2,000 hit points) and wait for the right bot to drop its defense. Then, start doing multi-target strong magic like Shock, Luminaire, and Dark Matter. When you do this, you will inflict heavy damage on both the center and right bot and will eat away at its hit points.

The center Lavos Core is responsible for all of the bosses most powerful attacks. Among them are multiple attacks that can do 500-900 damage to the entire party depending on the character's level and gear.

Keep in mind that the right bot is really the basis of the fight. It has the most hit points and will regenerate the center and left bots if you take too long in destroying it.

And a correction, none of the bosses actually have the attacks Lavos Core has. He has the most powerful single target magic (Crying Heavens), most powerful physical all attack (Grand Stone), most powerful status effect attack (Random), most powerful time magic attack (Invading Light), most powerful HP effecting attack (or in some games labelled gravity magic - Evil Star), and of course the most powerful all-magic attack (Dreamless/Shadow Magic) of any boss in the game.

Yah Frog and Robo have the worst innate magic defense in the game (oh wait maybe Ayla more than Frog) so Dreamless = GG! Wow outright killed em at nearly max Hp :O

The only fight you use Chrono's life spell in. Who come you hardly ever attacked the center?

Well done. not much else I can say but I'm suprised it went so well with the team you've used since frog doesn't have any major damage spells. But keeping him around for healing is a good idea too. 5 stars.
