  • Great ! you will enoy it, have a go ! SL

  • It will have a cane handle that will be put on before it's fired!?! What does that mean? Btw, your friend Michael Cardew, when he was here a few years ago, said that as a judge, he would eliminate any teapot that had a commercial cane handle. You had to make them yourself. So we all tried, but nobody got any good at it. Could you show us sometime?

  • Hi ... yes that was a slip of the tongue actually ...well picked up though ! should have said 'after' it is fired . I think the issue with the handle ref your comment about MC ....its not whether its commercial or not ,that isnt the issue , whether it is 'handmade' though is !! I have seen some pretty grotty non commercial handles Btw ! SL

  • Nice series Simon. They say that teapots are the sculpture in pottery. Your series has shown that this is true. Thank you

  • awesome man, i've never been into pottery, but you've got me interested :)

  • That was amazing to watch. I did ceramics in high school where I excelled in making those punch bowls. You know, the one's you punch from frustration. ;)

  • Simon, I would love to see the finished pot after glazing and firing. Best job of explaning the teapot process. Thanks. You can always tell how much you love the clay and everything you make.
