  • I've been arc welding steel with a car battery for quite some time. Anyone now if this would be adequate for aluminum as well?

  • You would think Miller would make sure their people have ALL the proper safety equipment(PPE) on...such as safety glasses...

  • I say that with aluminum the puddle control is greater than steel. with steel if the metal isn't completely free of impurity's like rust or other shit the puddle control is bullshit. but then again when I final got tig welding on steel down I would have to have the tungsten like less than a 1/16" away from the pool. with aluminum you just punch the pedal until the pool forms then start adding filler and slowly let off the pedal as you go cause the metal heats up fast.
