How come that many of the greatest songs there is, were recorded in 1961? It struck me the other day, many of my uploads are from that year, and now you come up with this great teener.

His voice is paradise found! Thanx for posting this gem. I too am a fan of the early early 60's music......before the beginning of the end!!

In 67 I bought a under The Dash Record Player (I still have it) I had a 55 Buick with a trunk full of records. I never played the radio, record player ran full time. I ruined many records, but really enjoyed the music! I think todays music is the worst it can get. The RAP sound isn't music, so I'm not even counting that, i'm talking about the rest of the garbage, I'm sure you agree. Anyway, I still have tons to post, hopingly we can keep posting for a very long time.

when i think of america in the 50's this is how i imagined it would be cruising with this kind of music playin, to me it would be total heaven. then the crap that come out and killed this music totaly spoiled music in my opinoin forever, at least we have youtube and people like you to keep the dream alive!

I totally AGREE! I think what it was, it was different & Americans like change. Just think a moment, this song & ithers were traded off for, I Want To Hold Your Hand & Satisfaction. I'm not surprised though, Americans spent plenty of money on Pet Rocks, Slinkys & Cabbage Patch BS dolls. Actually you could skim a few more doowop & teen years, up into 65. I still post some nice tunes that were released in mid 60s. However 62 was the highest peak 4 music & 4 the USA, downhill ever since.

Yeah i agree, i only like music from late 50's to 1962 this seemed to be when music like this was at its peak, the British invasion killed it and i dont know why as it was mostly rubbish and overated

1962 was the end for this country as we knew it. The following year our President was shot to death and the world then knew we were vulnerable and a plan started. Now we can't stop it. So come here and try to enjoy the past. Thanks guys for posting these songs.
