  • Would there be any reason not to buy a bag of marbles and each time you took a nip of whisky from a bottle you pop a few marbles down the neck of the bottle to keep your whisky at the fill level you want?

  • @ChewTheGlue

its an option, but a lot of fuss too !

  • Sorry to ask this, but I cannot find the video review were you decant some of your whisky off and mentions the Answer to my question! I just wanted advice on the best place to get some sample bottles to store off any whisky for later comparison/enjoyment, I'm going to make a habit of doing this with every newly opened bottle rather than waiting til getting to the end of the bottle! I just need a stock of sample bottles. Any advice greatly appreciated mate. Thanks

  • @dvdbloke

check out your local herbal dispensary store for small empty bottles.

  • hope everything is ok over there with the storms

  • @bigheadchau

I'm not in Scotland so Hurricane Bawbag did not impact on the Manx Bothy.

  • Tried blending my own whisky on this site. Have to say, it was what I was expected. Not that well matured or good in taste, not well balanced but the flavours were there. You can definietely taste the blend hasn't been well matured. The tastes are decent, but don't come together.

UNLESS you rest them in the dram for a good time, I found after 5 minutes in it. It got a whole lot better and smoother. It was fun trying it.

PM me if you want the bottle code, It is very smoky and peaty... Islay
