  • Thanks very much, although technically it's an archlute, not a theorbo. String length, tuning and doubled courses are the difference, which admittedly is only of interest and concern to lutenists!

  • Can you tell me what exactley the difference is between an archlute and a theorbo?

    There is so much confusion on that subject.
