HST Tax Revolt BC Canada Votes 2011

The BC Liberals are taking a hard hit because of the HST tax grab. Gordon Campbell should place some of the blame with the Conservative Party of Canada. The Conservative's are the ones pushing this policy across Canada not the BC Liberals!
Due to the Conservative Party of Canada past economic record Canada is in a tight spot economically, and the last thing consumers need right now is an increased tax burden.
The BC Liberals have always stated that BCer's know how to spend there own money and brought in Tax Cuts to prove it.
Even though Harpers Conservative Party of Canada is facing an Election in a few short months. The BC Liberal should not take the blame for this Tax Grab!

Actually I changed my mind after reading more. It looks like the HST takes the power away from BC and makes us more controlled by Ottawa. This is very bad. I have to say I am against the HST. I think we will lose if we vote this in. Keep BC autonomous.

From what I have researched it looks like the HST might be better for businesses in BC which means a better economy and more jobs and lower costs. If businesses are thriving in BC and prices are lower on things then the tax isn't a problem. It looks like in the big picture the HST might be a good thing.

Its funny how the NDP are against the HST because I can guarantee that if they were in power, taxes & costs would be through the roof. The HST makes perfect sense if you understand it, in fact the HST actually lowers prices. This what's wrong with the politics, it appeals to people's emotions instead of their brains. The NDP are the worst for doing it

The Liberal government works under the basis that the people of BC are all morons, and they are flagrant about it. They tell you that the people who provide goods and services will not have to pay PST, so they in turn will save money and pass that savings on to you, the consumer. the HST REPLACES the PST, and the alleged reduction to consumers, so you in effect are paying the same amount as before. LOL. I have some oceanfront property in Kelowna for those who believe this bullshit.
