If you did try this method you probably would not want to stretch the hair at the beginning, because you would want the strands similar to your natural pattern.

You should also take in consideration if you wanted to blow dry your hair, and how many times you would run the flat iron through your hair because this would also affect the possiblity of proper reversion.

  • hey rustic...is that the average amount of hair you shed during washes?? I havent seen alot of natural ladies address what is *normal* for them...so could you talk about your experience? ( i understand that as long as the bulb is still attached to the strand then thats part of the normal shedding process).

    thx!!

  • That is an awesome tip, Rustic Beauty! You are always coming up with creative ways to manage your hair. Someone mentioned on their blog about your ability to *gently* remove a hair knot with a safety pin!

  • im sooo confused about whats going on?

  • Great little experiment idea!

  • maybe u can try less heat :)

  • FYI

My beautician told me that you won't get much damage from a blow dryer. You will get alot of damage from a hot comb and from a flat iron.

She may be right. She may be wrong. Just thought I'd pass on the info.
