AIG paid a $1.6 billion fine for bid rigging and accounting fraud in 2006. No one went to jail and it looks like we are the ones paying the fine now. This country is run by a corrupt oligarchy. They control the money, the political parties and the media. When they get caught stealing, the corporation they work for pays the fine and the American people eventually pay the bill for them. The people have to understand this before they can be free from it.
You're right about that, however, isn't that somewhat irrelevant to the rich making the most money? Not all rich people got there from govt bailouts or by screwing anyone.
Thank YOU for posting this video my friend, if only more people could see this and understand the basic inequity and foolishness of this continuing pattern of upwards income redistribution.
It is not a free market or capitalism , when people who lobbied the government and got favorable legislation , deregulation and fraudulent help from the rating agencies, used that influence to enrich themselves and impoverish others. Then when their companies were going bankrupt, went to the government which serves them, for a bailout. Their government bailed them out and sent the bill to you and your children. That is socialism for the rich.
This isn't the case at all. This is the Rand vision of the world, the poor should learn to like the taste of their masters boot. But in reallity, it is the large well paid stable middle class that has produced the economic super power that is America in the 20th century which as it now fades away, takes away Americas pre-eminence in the global markets. To drain the wealth from this group is analogous to slicing open that golden goose, all you will have left is a mess and no more golden eggs.
Ok...still not getting the point. It's called capitalism, or a free market. These numbers are completely irrelevant. The rich have always been getting richer. The problem is that these companies aren't going under because of bail outs. These rich people keep you and I employed. Don't forget that.
Again...I agree with you, but fail to see the relevance.
