Peta Kaplan Sandzer is on a global mission. She is one of dozens of Chicago area artists preparing globes for a project called Cool Globes. Each artist has been assigned a 'solution' by the Cool Globe organizers. You could say that they start with a clean sheet of paper. In this case, the artists all started with a plain 5-foot tall orb on which they developed their visual theme. Ford's Cool Globe is among 122 that organizers will create and display in Chicago this summer. The project is the brainchild of marketer, mom and environmental activist Wendy Abrams. If you're in Chicago this summer, look for Peta's globe and all the others, displayed at the Field Museum and Navy Pier beginning June first.
it is great to see an environmental conscience globe here in chicago.

It's about time automobile companies start addressing climate change issues. Well done Ford for getting started. Pretty "Cool" globe indeed.
