SC4 Astaroth Combos and Strategies

This is a lengthy Astaroth tutorial with commentary. In it, I describe which moves to use and provide tips along the way. I also show examples from various ranked matches I have had.

I do not go over EVERY move, but the moves I feel deserve some credit.

There are a few funny parts to lighten the mood as well.

I use "keypad language" to describe some moves. Pretend the number pad on a regular keyboard is the joystick.

8 is up, 2 is down, 6 is forward, etc.

Youtube destroyed the quality in this for some reason. I think the longer the video is, the quality begins to decline. Not sure why though...

hm i know it said basic but this is like.. for someone who has just picked up SC4. Im not trying to isult the vid its good n all but have you done anything for advanced players? Who can block his 1a everytime?

Just for this comment, I may decide to make one for advanced players. It could include tech traps, more wall combos, 3B mindgames, etc. However, I don't really want to give away all of Asty's "secrets." Then, people could easily prepare for him when going up against him...

i ran across your videos a few weeks ago and they inspired me to get this game. so far however ive been getting my ass kicked and thats why im watching them again. Also ive titan bombed myself out at least 10 times since ive had this game in 1 freaking day and every time i try a titan bomb near a ledge i think of this video and every time i get rung out. lastly yes you overstate the usefulness of his 1a but its good for playing mind games when you hold it.
