Line for Obama, Dobson High School Feb 2009

Apologies for the quality - this was taken with my brother's cell phone.

President Barack Obama is scheduled to speak at Dobson High School (in Mesa, Arizona) on Wednesday, February 18, 2009. THIS is the line to get tickets.

For locals (and those who want a sense of scale), Dobson High School is located at 1501 W Guadalupe Rd, and this video was taken while traveling west on Guadalupe and turning right onto S. Pennington. Taping begins at approximately 1604 Guadalupe and ends at 1784 Guadalupe. I'll remind you that this also goes into the PARKING LOT and around - Dobson High is a BIG school (~3200 students in 3 grades), and that's reflected in that massive parking lot in the front. I don't even know where this line BEGINS - likely in the main building, which is approximately 450 feet to the south from somewhere around 1580 Guadalupe.

I wish! I know that since the tickets available were about... 300-400 or so, SOME of them had to have gone home unhappy! My brother didn't even risk the line - he's just going to watch the motorcade.

Hm. Taking a guess at the number... oy vey. 800 or so, at least? I can't tell how far in or around the school the line goes, so I might even say MORE than that. MADNESS! ;)
