  • Hi. For me is important your opinion about Fallkniven S1 (forest knife) - steel VG10, thermoran, convex edge. Thank's a lot.

  • @ShadowofArrow I once had the one. I remember it had a deep convex bevel under a flat portion, which was so to say a Saber convex grind. So it was not able to make as sharp an edge as Bark Rivers. And it had a micro V edge to be removed before stropping. Its handle was kind of slick and short for the blade size. So I didn't need it. Thanks.

  • @virtuovice And if you have to choose only 3 fix blade knives (multipurpose), which of them would you get ? Thanks.

  • @ShadowofArrow I basically have only 4 inch blades. They are just good as a knife due to energy transfer from the hand to the cutting point. I don't baton wood at all. And I don't like a very thick bushcraft handle because it limits blade movement needed in deer dressing. So my top 3 fixed blades are Bark River rampless Bravo1, Fallkniven TK2, and Bark River rampless Gunny for multipurpose. Thanks.

  • how old are you if you don't mine me asking.

  • @bzlaacchk I'm 52yo.

  • @virtuovice Hi

  • @virtuovice The Bark River is a very nice knife and there are some great custom sheaths available from Bushcraft Canada .com that I think are my by JRE Industries. Sounds like it'll be the best fit. Thanks for you opinion, really value it.

  • @canesser1 F1 handle has less traction on it and its front end is annoying. F1 blade geometry comprises a flat bevel and a relatively steep convex bevel and a micro V edge. In contrast all Bark Rivers have a continuous convex bevel all the way down without a secondary edge. I recently very often use rampless swedged 3V Bravo1 and love it very much. It holds its edge very long although I don't know how easily it takes stropping. Bravo1 handle is very comfortable for me. Thanks.

  • I never knew Japan was so beautiful!
