After knowing the view for decades and surrounding Australia several times hitchhiking and camping i made it there as if it had been waiting for me and wanted me to understand the continent before touching it. The words and music i composed and produced afterwards in one big rush (one day) without any editing. I started with acoustic guitar, then played the rest of the instruments, tried to catch the emotional output of this playback and the words were flying right out of my mind. Then i sang them straight in and improvised realtime by ear the chord vocals. To me it´s always a miracle, how the music gets into my mind - in this case it was sort of an inner drag to tell my impression of this rock as a katalysator of all (not only aboriginal) cultures.. I hope Uluru will have a deeper meaning for you out there too - if you make it there. If it is so, it will give you some permission but take care how to use it (as i did in this case and thought about many times if i should). Art with Message feels better than just picking/showing frames. You cannot own the land, the land owns you and might tell you......

  • Wow ! you Australians really are scraping the bottom of the barrel for cultural identity, to make such a song and dance literally, over a lump of freakin sandstone. Daft song.

  • The Spirit in me Respects the Spirit in you Uluru. If I was ever lucky enough to be stood beside Uluru I would be Truly Greatful. That would be Amazing!.I would give you a big hug:)) Lets share eturnal LoVe & Light for Gaia here.Forgiveness is the key.Climbers do not understand. It is not about Ownership OR who climbs OR Dollas Paid.! You did not buy the rock! Ulura is a BEAUTIFUL GIFT of Creation!! We shoud treat it as such! LoVe Creation as it LoVes Us! Be the change you want to see in the world.

  • @Trunedk I climbed Uluru in 2005. Its not really that sacred to the Aborigines anymore. I remember having to make a donation to climb so its no more sacred than the 10 or 5 dollars I had to pay at the time. If the aborigines did not want anyone to climb it then nobody would be allowed because Australia recognise that it belongs to them and they have the say. I can't understand how in any way climbing the rock can be classed as discrimination.

  • - Climbing Uluru isn’t really illegal, but it’s discrimination to the local aboriginal people, because Uluru is a sacred area. The aboriginals believe a lot in spirits. They believe that, when you die your spirit will live on inside of Uluru. So when you climb Uluru, you actually step on the old aboriginal ancestors.

But, today it’s a great opportunity to get tourism, a lot are climbing the rock and don’t think of the old spiritual stories that lie buried in this sacred area.
