Something about this '81 NYC performance keeps haunting me and making me watch it again. Maybe it's the almost overwhelming darkness. Or the determination on their faces. The way Bernard Sumner looks up just before he takes the mic, like he's trying to find Ian behind or above the darkness...And the furious intensity with which they all play...it's so close to Joy Division but already they're progressing and changing...

@joshama87 That's because most of the people you work with are probably tasteless losers with zero conception of good music or any historical perspective on how music evolved (or should I say - devolved) to its current deplorable state...
