Bonjour from France, Ronnie,
I watched your tutorial videos and they are great. Thank you very much for all this hard work.
One thing I don't understand here is the 'leaning'. What's the benefit of 'leaning' the cupping compared to a standard cupping? When 'leaned', it becomes difficult to commute to tongue blocking octave playing. I noticed on your videos that you do often lean your harp, but I just can't grasp what it gets to your sound? Any further hints on this 'leaning' stuff?

I think you're right about the lean not be conducive to octaves but for many techniques (that do not require straight ahead positioning of the mouth) the lean helps to completely seal off the harp...no air leakage. it takes a little time to get used to it but it certainly is beneficial.
