Here's something for all you HP folks with Conexant Hermosa audio chips. As you know the internal microphones are unusable due to their very low level, and there is no boost in the HP driver. I corrected that for you. :)
Download driver at http://quickplay.hostzi.com/Conexant_Hermosa_Modified_Vista_Win7_x64.rar , available for 64-bit Windows 7 and Vista only. I can make a 32-bit driver upon request.

I have a huge problem with this update, sadly. When I plug my headphones into my laptop, BOTH the headphones AND the laptop play the music/video audio simultaneously instead from my headphones. However, if I disable "Classic Mode," the headphones won't work anymore...
Can someone please help me with this please? >.<
Thanks

@KiteTh I became aware that this driver doesn't work with all 9000s myself. I have bought a new motherboard for mine, and altho the chip reports being the same thing, it wanted different drivers. My modded one didn't work properly.
Eventually it found the right one by itself, on Windows Update. And here's the real kicker: The driver it got from Microsoft has mic boost built in! Although it's still not user configurable it's better than nothing. So try this and see what it does.

@uN1Qu3DZ So... Just check Windows Update then??

@KiteTh Yes. Open up Device Manager, expand Sound, Video and Game controllers, double click the Conexant sound card, go to the Driver tab, hit Update Driver and then Search Automatically. It worked for me.

Brilliant fix for this problem...you don't have a fix for an HP pavillion running XP with a conexant sound card? Thanks
