Why didn't Namco keep the older character designs? They looked so much more interesting...

They ruined Nightmare in SC VI. I miss the TRUE "Azure Knight".

Soul Calibur is very fun, SC II offered a lot too. But for me this game had the best outfits. Look what they've done to him now, stuck a giant ugly Necrid marble in his chest. Characters like Astaroth look a bit silly and less menacing I feel. Nightmare's arm is nice and huge in this game, makes it look much cooler_^)

Yea, they could have overdone it with completely different roster of characters, change the story, revamp the entire setting, get even worse voice actors, add the easiest boss in history, put Atari-style graphics, and totally ruin the series.

I don't hae SC VI, but I do hate the direction the series took. Its still a fun game, but not as great as these originals.

Agreed. and Rangers, you are also right about how they failed the rest of the characters. And also, Soul Calibur doesn't need star wars characters... It needs good guest characters, not random ones.
