i have to say your post brought tears to my eyes... I was born december 1969. I had 1 uncle do 2 yrs in Viet Nam, another was at the embassy during the fall of Saigon, and a cousin did 1 year, was killed 2 days before he was going on R&R to see his wife. Thanks for your service!

@MrRonnieG / each time I hear this song it takes me back to the day when I left for Nam December 9,1969 leaveing my wife and one year old daughter at the airport. I remember the pain of looking out the jet window and craneing my neck for as long as possible to get my last glimse of them. wow, it even gives me chills and saddness now just writing about this and at the time not know if I would be back again. I was fortunate enough to return after one year as a infantryman. Welcome home friend.
