GTA - How to get into and out of Area 69 at the very beginning of the game - NO CHEATS and no mods

First, I want to emphasize that NO CHEATS and no mods were used to achieve this.

I recently stumbled upon a YouTube video that showed how to get inside Area 69. This video was created by a person that simply goes by hdsgf. He discovered a glitch that allows you to enter Area 69 in a very easy and simple fashion.

He was able to get in, but couldn't figure a way to get back out. My first thought was to use GTA_Phreaks Black Project Revisited video as a way of getting out; which works like a charm http://video.google.com/videoplay?docid=-638734065457778602

However, instead of that, I have discovered how to get out of Area 69 without using a Jetpack; it basically uses hdsgf's entrance technique in reverse.

First, to get inside Area 69, you need to have a Freeway motorbike... I have tried all of the other motorbikes, and none of them work... this glitch only works with a Freeway.

Here's a list of the vehicles that I used to try this glitch with (and none of them worked):
NRG-500
PCJ-600
BF-400
FCR-900
Faggio
Pizzaboy
Sanchez
Wayfarer

plus I also tried a Mountain Bike (this was the only pedal bike that I tried)

The Freeway is the only vehicle that this glitch works with.

Next, you need to drive the Freeway into Area 69, and then park it next to the ventilation shaft, the same shaft used during the mission Black Project. It needs to be parked so that Carl will exit the Freeway so that he is standing on the grating at the top of the shaft.

The Freeway has to be parked perfectly or the glitch wont work. Next, exit the Freeway and youll immediately find Carl inside Are 69 at the Minigun spawn the Minigun will immediately become your weapon if you dont already have a different weapon in that slot.

That's how hdsgf was able to get in, but he couldnt get out.

I was then able to use the same glitch to get back out. I walked around to the to the other end of the ventilation shaft and climbed inside... then I walked all the way up to the end (wher the shaft is sealed off). I could hear the rumbling of the Freeways idling engine. While I was there I pressed the control to enter a vehicle and immediately found myself back on the surface getting onto the Freeway... and I was back outside!!!!!

I tried this over a dozen times. Occasionally I was not able to get out of Area 69... I think it was because the Freeway was not in the exact position it needed to be in for the glitch to work, but it was rare that it happened... most of the time I was able to get out of Area 69 without any problem.

I play on PC, so I was wondering if there was anyone else who could try this glitch out on another platform to see if it works there too... it should work, I dont see why it wouldnt.

Does getting into Area 69 work on the playstation II version of the game? This appears to be the pc version.

Yes, it works on all platforms.

There are no aliens or flying saucers at the real Area 51. It's not a secret base; everyone in the world knows about it. It is a military installation, but it's simply a proving ground for high level testing of aircraft and equipment.

It is heavily guarded by military personal, but they won't kill people onsite; they'll arrest people for trespassing though.

It's silly television shows that run on channels such as the History Channel that make those ridiculous claims about aliens and such.

If you're referring to my comments about people that tell me to use cheat codes, then shouldn't your comment be directed toward them? I don't tell people not to use cheats, however when a troll tells me how to play the game (usually by using cheats), then mutual respect is gone, so I respond appropriately. I don't go onto other people's videos and leave trllish comments saying not to use cheats; I expect the same treatment in return.

I was just going to say, after finding out last night, yes, it does work. Thanks, man. Hey, did you know that there is absolutely no limit on how high in the sky you can go? Normally when flying a plane, jet, helicopter, etc..there is some sort of invisible force field, not allowing you to go any higher than the readings on your altimeter. But, that "field" can be breached with but just 2 cheat codes(not trying to endorse cheat codes here)and you can keep going up up up..
