***UPDATE***
There is no tab/music for this solo. I did not follow any, as I play music by ear. There are a few elements from Bucketheads' original solo but the majority of it is completely improvised.

A user named BassMajor has the background track for this on his profile if you'd like to play along. Also check out his other original and cover songs because he is a very talented musician! Thanks!

***END OF UPDATE***

I've been workin' on this for awhile. Don't worry, I have a video of the solo @ the end, fast forward to about 1:20 if you'd like. Thanks BassMajor for the sweet backing track. I added some rhythm guitar and of course a solo to my taste. I hope you enjoy.

JSX Tube Amplifier + PRS Custom 24 Brazilian Series Guitar. No effects during recording or mixing.

  • Your cover is the best-- hands down

  • @honorablecbm You are too kind!

  • @Swiveled: No problem! Buckethead inspired me to buy my first guitar two months ago and you motivated me to keep learning. How long have you been playing?

  • @honorablecbm I've been playing for 12 years. I'm happy to hear that you've picked up a guitar of your own! No matter what, never stop playing. The hardest part is getting used to the hand mechanics and your own comfort level. After that, it's all about practice. Hours and hours. Make sure you are playing something you enjoy aside from normal practice routines. Take a break from those scales and play a lick from one of your favorite songs. If you haven't already, learn how to read Guitar Tabs!

  • sounded, and looked really good. But sounded almost nothing like the actual soothsayer. The first couple bars were spot on for the first solo, but after that you kind of did you own thing. But it sounded badass, it sounded like the was slash would play it kind of. If you would have named it my improv to bucketheads- soothsayer solos, i would have thumbs uped it. so keep up the shredding my friends.

  • @Garrett420weed I'll take your advice. Thanks!

  • your cover is sick u should start wearing a bucket

  • Hey! Try putting your thumb behind the neck instead of on top of it, it'll really help you when shredding. I know it's hard to unlearn a bad habit, but give it a try! ;)

  • its little faster than the original dont you think?

  • Nice cover, how did you record everything?
