Born of Boredom and Bad Weather

This is a really low quality short that was born from boredom and bad weather. We were actually supposed to be shooting part of a documentary the same night, but the roads were so dangerous we decided to turn around and go home.

On the way home we spontaneously decided to make a short film about a guy and a special nose ring that was really a key to a secret something or other. By the time we shot 75% of the scenes most of us were too cold to shoot the first two scenes (which were the most important ones for the story to make sense). So the spontaneous film we intended to make was dead (it was going to be a hilarious dark comedy)... Instead you get this little cryptic visual experience of a few scenes cut together quickly which now tell a different story - or do they?

Can you figure out what it actually means? If you can you get a gold star because none of us can and we are the ones who made it.
