@gerrard801 thanks.i havent had the chance to fish for them in a couple of years but was looking forward to 2011 when i intend introducing my son to bass fishing.this minister is from an area where there is a lot of commercial fishing.10 to 1 he makes it legal before his party get turffed out of power next year.

Jeseus 'thewhack64', that's a strong comment. I really, truly and passionately hope you're wrong! I hope Minister Connick realises how much the rest of the people in Wexford stand to lose economically and socially. If he really understood how valuable the recreational bass fishery is he wouldn't legalise it!! Anyway here's hoping! ;-)

Nice to see them go back. I''ve only ever caught 2 bass and both went back in the sea. They are a completely enchanting fish. I fished all summer trying to get one on a plug. The 2 i got were on bait -opefully next year i'll get one on a plug

in ireland our bass are protected from commercial fishing.this may change please contact our minister sean connick before he lets commercial fishing start again.
