Wolfgang Gartner is a justified stage name. This musical mastermind has left a deep impact in the Electronic Dance Music scene. The Grammy-nominated electro-house producer and DJ is being compared to world-renowned artists such as Deadmau5 and Justice. His last visit to Minneapolis in 2009 resulted in a completely filled venue with music enthusiasts wishing the night would never end.
Born Joey Yougman, this American musician has performed at world-renowned dance music festivals such as Coachella 2010 and Electric Daisy Carnival 2010. In his short time producing, eight of his songs held the number one position on the Beatport Top 10 Chart. Hits such as "Wolfgang's 5th Symphony", "Push and Rise" and remix of Britney Spear's "3" are club favorites.
After establishing the name Wolfgang Gartner, he debuted as a featured guest on BBC Radio 1's Essential Mix, hosted by Pete Tong, in 2010.Gartner is receiving recognition for his talent and was recently nominated for four International Dance Music Awards, including Best Electro/Tech House Track, Best Progressive Track, Best Breakthrough DJ and Best Breakthrough Artist this past January. His newest releases can be found under the record label, Ultra, which also represents other well-known artists such as Deadmau5, Benny Benassi, and Kaskade.
