I was born in 1970. I sure wish I was born in 1940 instead. I would have been one of the fortunate people to have experienced that magical time - the 1950s and the 1960s. Sigh!

THis was an optomistic and inspiring time in this country. The average American had a stable good paying job and lived in a low crime area. Forget what your nut case professors tell you about the 50's and 60's.

You wanna be 73?? U R crazy. I'm 68 and that age comes p.d.q. Enjoy your youth while you still have it. 1960-70 were good years though

May my wife never read this - but my college sweet heart who sat with my parents at my graduation was a Shelly Fabares LQQk-A-Like. I even talked her once into flipping her hair.

I was born in 1952, & watched all those great TV shows growing up(of course I was in love with Mary just like a million other 10 year olds). To this day, I still enjoy picking up my acoustic & singing this song as it truly is one of my all-time favorites. Your comment was very touching, & I'm sure many baby boomers reading it join me in a sigh...& a smile in appreciation. The sixties were a magical time.

I totally AGREE 100%! There is a bizarre tendency for some people to distort history to suit their own misguided purposes. Thanks for your wonderful comment.
