@thehistorywatcher Me too man. My first TV crush. I think we chose well!! Happily married to my own angel almost 33 years now, but my heart still flutters a bit when I listen to this. Shelley Fabares as Mary Stone. Sigh. Wasn't it fun to be there? (and I thought Donna Reed was pretty hot for a mom too!!)

Wow, Always love the song. Check out my song guardian angels. Sounds similar.

I was about to become a teenager, then this song came out, and my girl friends and I each found a 'Johnny Angel' to idolize in school-and we sung this sung like an anthem. We wore her record out and sung it into a mirror over and over. It's 2012 and it's still such a pretty song and it still touches my heart to hear it again. Hugs to Shelly for being part of my childhood,

@sauquoit13456 Did the Blossoms also sing back-up for people like Frank Sinatra and Ella Fitzgerald? Because I remember an interview with Shelley Fabares where she said she could hardly believe the quality of the singers who would be backing her, because she heard them talking about the other people they were going to record with later that week (i.e., "Frank" and "Ella").

Nice job on the video. I was in love with her when she was on the DR show. Man, she was hot, even before we used 'hot' as an adjective for great-looking!

I was 9 yrs. old and remember listening to this on the record player in my bedroom. Never heard anything so soft, so entrancing before.. Maybe it was the song, the lyrics, her female voice, the way she was singing it, but it introduced me to the whole new world of----girls.

@bixbybixby Your story matches mine exactly. I couldn't quite put my finger on it at 9, all I knew was I liked it! Probably explains why I've been married to my own "Shelley" angel for 37 years next month.

Real nice job! Some tributes have the pictures just flying through the video, you don't have time to enjoy them. This was well done! I really enjoyed it. Man, she was pretty! Gotta go now, time to watch it again!
