Karl and Docjazz4 - I Am Never Alone

http://www.mountainsocarina.com This video contains two versions of the same song, "I Am Never Alone." (Music and lyrics by Karl Ahrens.) I play the first version on the ocarina, and Docjazz4 (David Ramos http://www.youtube.com/docjazz4 ) sings the second.

We wound up recording this one thanks to David Ramos. Late one night in a hotel conference room at the 2009 OcSlam in Seattle, David, Andrew Wells, and I were playing our ocarinas together. I played "I Am Never Alone" for the guys because I thought it would be fun to collaborate. Then life got busy, and I forgot all about it.

David surprised me one day by sending me his wonderful vocal rendition, along with a piano track. I tried playing along with the piano part, enjoyed it, and decided to make an ocarina recording for our forum folks and also provide them (thanks to David) with the piano track. Now they too can play along if they want to! :)

I made up a quick intro and ending to go along with David's piano soundtrack, in part to save me from standing around looking awkward for the first several seconds at the start and end of the song.
