Macbook 2.4 Restart Speed

My new Macbook is compared against the laptop it's replacing, an M275 Tablet PC.

I love my Macbook :)

PS: Concerning the User PW on the Gateway; Yes, I would have liked to take off the pw off but I still had files in the old laptop and my brother started using that laptop so he had his own account on it so I couldn't just take it off.

Also, I'm not trying to prove anything besides only showing the differences I am experiencing from my old to my new. That's it.

Not fair. This is one of the oldest PC-s ever. And that Mac is quite new, I think. Let's do this competition again, when you bought a new PC (Vista, if you want ;) The SP1 is quite fast ;) I had that on my XtraSlowPC (P4 2,4Ghz, 1 GB Ram, Nvidia geforce FX 5200))

Yeah the Gateway was old. I think 2 years which is the reason I needed a new laptop :) Keep in mind this video was not done to say that Macbooks are ultra faster than other laptops or that Mac OX X boots faster than windows. I was just mearly recorded for showing the difference in speed I was getting when I first bought my Mac around 8 months ago, which you can do every time you buy a new laptop, the new models will always surpass old models.

I wasn't doing an experiment to prove how much faster Mac OSX restarts than other laptops. To do that I would need many laptops to test it against. The purpose of this video was personal. I wanted to record in video how much faster (the obvious) my new macbook was against the laptop it was replacing. Plus, I really started to play with iMovie when I first got my Macbook, so at the time these types of videos came to mind in order to try and play around with iMovie lol.

Yes money is an issue for everybody. I think that if people have the choice between a 1800$ that is 2 or 3 times faster than a 3000$ Mac, they will take my current computer. When I first saw the inside of the Mac pro: all you see is like 30 cm of the motherboard. A good ariflow means that it cools everything. And why do you need 6 macs? Do you use all 6 ? I can't believe you use these 6. And it cost you about what ? 10 000+$ ???

to be honest, i can clearly see money is an issue for you, its not for me thats why I have 6 macs systems & thats why you use PC's. The airflow is perfectly fine in the mac pro, if it was so bad i think everyones mac pro would be over heating and the cpu locking up, which they haven't

lol you don't stay up to date about stuff it comes with DDR3 ram, plus the mac pro supports 32GB RAM & in theory when 8GB modules ship for it, it should support 64GB

i think the reason you insulted me at first was because, i have a mac pro & you don't lol. Windows got the games not really, we can just install crossovermac or darwine and lets us run windows games inside of OS X without the need of installing UGLY windows

like i said before the entire inside of the mac pro has been redesigned to not use wires to make the whole inside look much neater. The Mac pro has four fans inside it, how can it really over heat with all them inside, your PC (pointless crap) will probably have two in at the most

GO fuck urself and get a life: you don't even know what is DDR3, Mac pro is shipped with DDR2. Seriously, do you have better spec than my comp ? for 1800$? No, Mac sucks for their price. I admit Mac is great for working and multimedia, but still that windows got the games. And yes the airflow sucks, that's not because you see throught the front pannel that the airflow is better noob. I get 6 fans in my case, and I don't get a Cable mess in my case, nice try. Do you get a nice cooling for Mac ?no

The airflow in the mac pro is fine you do know the front and back of the mac pro is like metal mesh, you can see through it, so it gets plenty of air. Why do you think it ships with DDR2 ram its DDR3 RAM, the hard drives the mac pro have are Hitatchi drives, my mac pro has a Western Digital hard drive inside. The inside is a work of art compared to your UGLY PC a load of wires crossing this way and that
