Could apes really take over the planet? Apes may be large, powerful animals but they have naturally created a violence free social structure among themselves. Watch as Thomas Gillespie, Associate Professor of Public Health and Biodiversity Conservation at Emory University, discusses the real characteristics of this misunderstood species.

The scientist who did this review did it before the movie was released and did NOT watch it.

The apes in this movie are passive, just like he said, and only get violent when interfered with by humans, like he said. Him calling the film incorrect is INACCURATE. He should have watched it first, because it does do what he said..

In the end it wasn't Earth they wanted. It was welfare.

He keeps saying Gorillas when the film

Focuses on chimps and only 1 of the secondary characters is a Gorilla who while using his strength does not fight to kill. Secondly, the virus at the end of the film is what makes the apes dominant because while they get smarter from it the humans die out from exposure, meanwhile this guy talks about ape breeding practices -__- something that is mentioned or seen NOWHERE in the film. Lastly the apes ARENT uneccesarily aggressive, Bucks attack of the helic

I googled it. Buck, a western lowland gorilla who pledges his allegiance to Caesar after he is freed by him. Still, the movie is largely about chimpanzees.

I thought the only gorilla in the movie was a mountain gorilla.

there is an alternative, wait its not an alternative it IS the answer, God, he made all of the earth, the universe, everything. magic thats just a joke. you evolutionists will never learn, if it was proven wrong how can there be no alternative. something made all this, something made a form that can heal itself, grow, develop, learn, and expand. and luck and chance with some sort of "life creating materials" cannot create all this

Agree with LobsterPotsticker; the apes are portrayed in the movie as mostly non-agressive; they fight only when they have no other choice. Just like people. Even during the Golden Bridge battle Ceasar restrains unnecessary violence.

Rate of apes propagation is limited by mom's care for the baby. If the new generation of apes learn a lot faster; are not threatened by grownup males (changed morale/more resources available) and perished humans, they may start propagating fast.
