    I've been thinking about this & I don't actually think it was stage fright at all. The poor guy was on tranquilisers for anxiety , and got the most awful rebound panic attacks when the adrenaline kicked in on stage. Far from being nervous of performing, I think he was born to perform..... but through a combination of business- and-medical mismanagement found himself well and truly burned out before 30. Thankfully he carried on creating though.

    WOW...first time I've seen this. You'd never know from viewing it that Andy apparently had terrible stage fright. Amazing how their sound evolved from here to the SKYLARKING and ORANGES AND LEMONS days.
