I'm currently cycling in the Andes Mountains and thinking that I wish I was traveling much more lighter. The hills are steep and long - we've climbed over 6,000 feet in less than 30 miles! My tandem weighs 440 lbs - I weighed it at one of those truck stops with both me and my son on it. Crazy that we carry so much stuff with us.
