interesting video, but if one knows nothing of Kenjutsu will they ever truly understand Aiki?
Ha faces upward, doesnt cut into tora guchi that way.

Your katana's are not displayed properly in your dojo. They need to be blade edge facing up.

My teacher is Andrzej Bazylko He was studying with Christian Tissier in 80's and early 90's. Now he has a dojo in Warsaw but still he goes to seminars of Tissier-sensei in many places in Europe and he organizes his seminars in Poland, as well as seminars of Pascal Durchon et Philippe Orban. We maintain close ties with Tissier dojo.

@fabiobranno what do you mean sorry
-
@fudo9 this is a seminar, not a demonstration. And even in demonstration or application the speed is related to the speed of the attack. This is called "being into the rithm", or "Aiki".
There is nothing of absolute and, if not in the rithm, speed and straight may become weakness.
-
@shihonage It is exactly what I think. There is no absolute technic, and is not aikido mind if you only think to apply something of absolute.
But flawing from a form to another relating to use's mind and structure is the training of adaptive warrior.
i would love to learn aikido just dont have the the time i train tae kwon do my instructor is also trained in aikido and shows us some moves for self defence the guy is half my size and wipes the floor with me such a powerfull style

@fabiobranno: As well as to kotegaeshi principles, sumi otoshi principles and many other ;)
I'm making a list of basic explanatory videos for each technique in the canon on my blog, so I wasn't able to use this video there. But I really like it :)

@makingthematrix thanks for like it. In Kaitennage, as well as in all the other forms, there are several possibilities to flaw from a principle to other in accord to the quality of the uke's structure.
So, the principle I always start with, in this video, is Kaitennage and from there, I adapt the reaction to the chances offered by uke.^_^

@fabiobranno
hehe :)
As I watch it again I can't stop myself from thinking how similar it is to how Christian Tissier-sensei shows kaitennage and these other techniques. Have you been practicing with Tissier-sensei, by chance? I'm a student of his student. From Poland.

@makingthematrix Yes, I study with Christian Tissier Shihan since 1996 and in the last few years I study also with Seishiro Endo Shihan.
Who is your teacher?
