Sergiev Posad is one of the most beautiful Orthodox monasteries in the Moscow region, and also the site of a special kind of school. Every year, nearly 60 students meticulously learn to paint religious icons, retracing the same brushstrokes of masters from centuries ago. Duration: 01:50.

if ummnusaybah1 think of icon as paganism, he should be consistent and charge muslims of paganism along this line of argument for worshipping kaabah & black stone (hajar aswad).

Don't show your islamic ignorance please. People don't worship icons, people praying saints depicted in these icons. So they show their respect and ask saints for promotion to God.
