From borrowing her dads guitar as a little girl to the recent release of her own signature model, Kaki has virtually formed her entire style on Adamas guitars. Her signature model is as unique as her music. It has cutting-edge features and is identical to the model she performs with.

FEATURES The 25 1/4" scale length guitar features the reflective round back body that is standard on Ovation and Adamas guitars. It also has a tuned carbon fiber top supported by Adamas fan bracing, which is a must for the rhythmic effects that are integral to Kakis style. If you have explored this style, you know that the various body thumps and taps involve multiple tones, much like what percussionists get out of a well-crafted cajon. Indeed, this guitars body resonates well when lightly fist-pumped for a bass tone or snapped for snare-like sound. AWESOME!

Ovation Adamas 1581-KK Kaki King Signature

I know the reason why I started using Adamas. Because my Dad ownded one

Funny thing is. I wasn't allowed to touch it when I was a kid.

So, he finally said "You need something you can really play on"

I did my first record with the Adamas. It was really the only guitar that i owned.

All the various components of these guitars allow me to be pretty faithful

Mainly, the fact that you can tune them down so low and they will stay in tune

I love low, dark tuning. Always have. It's probably the number one reason

There's a lot of interesting selling points. Especially for someone that is working a lot as a guitar player.

I need something really reliable. Something that's going to stay in tune. Something where the strings aren't going to pop.

I don't use a hell of a lot of strength when I play. I use fairly little action and something that's going to sound pretty decent

When tuning really low and with light strings. It's pretty hard to match that

They really do posess a sound that a lot of other guitars just do not have. You won't get them out of a different guitar.
