As an independent recruiter for pa firms (have not workd for All-American), I've learned much about the process. The pa firm gets a fee that pays for the effort, man hours, and expertise. The fee and the amt the insured receives varies based on the circumstances and their policy, but 99% of the time the result is WAY more for the insured , not to mention the reduced stress of having an expert deal with the insurance co for you. the fee for the pa firm is generally negotiable
The percentage that the adjuster receives is usually around 20% on supplements. So that means that insured gets 80% of what the insurance company technically owes them. A lot of adjusting companies do not charge a fee but work strictly on commission.
I'm also a pa. I in no moment get more than the insured either normally a 10k claim after deduc and charging a 20% the insured stays with 8k 4 times more the amount I earned.
I don't work for All American, but I can tell you I usually charge 10-15% on new claims, and 20-30% on supplements (not touching anything the insurance company first paid), and my average additional recovery (over and above the ins co initial offer) is over 400%. Facts are facts. This PA does not charge anywhere near the amount I recover.

@relshaman305
you are right. cajun's math does not add up. I'd be shocked if cajun was not a company or independent adjuster. I used to drink the same kool-aid.

How can the % they charge be more than the recover? if the % they are suppose to charge is a fraction of the total settlement.
