More on living a magical life. What's going to happen next? Living in that space of wonderment.
So I want to talk more about magic. What exactly does that mean, right? It sounds so way out there and foo-foo and crazy to speak of, right? What does a magical life actually look like in reality, you know, in day-to-day experience. For me, it's the constant recognition of the miracle that is life itself. You know, this, "Holy cow, look at that! Wow! Did you see that happen? Wow! Is this actually happening to me?" It's those kinds of moments, miracles, right? Little things. Again, it's not always about rainbows and unicorns. But I think keep those in the back of your mind. It can't hurt. It can't hurt. So—and you know the miracles that I'm talking about. You know, unexpected friend calls you out of the blue and you have a great conversation and you get off the phone and you think to yourself "I'm so grateful that that person is in my life. They really enrich and bring so much into my life and I just love the fact that we can reconnect and share together." That's magic, right? It's such an ordinary experience, but when you sit back and actually look at it for what it is, in my world, I consider that to be quite magical. You know, there I am just hanging out, staring off into space or something, making a sandwich in the kitchen, who knows what I'm doing, and out of the blue, here comes this phone call, and it's this friend, right, that I haven't talked to in a long time, that's magical. Or perhaps it's, you know, going into a store with an idea of what you'd like to buy in mind and you find that that product fits all of the things that you had in mind. And not only that, but there's a sale going on and you save, you know, $80 compared to what you thought you'd be spending in the first place, right? That kind of stuff. So ordinary, so basic, that it's often overlooked, but if you step back and again coming from this innocent place of wonderment and, you know, what's going to happen to me next, I can't wait to see, then these ordinary moments become magical. They take on that quality, that flavor. And they start to happen more often. You start to recognize these subtle, ordinary experiences more and more. And your eyes get bigger and bigger and bigger, you know? It's like being a child all over again. There's no reason why we have to let go of that innocent wonderment, sense of wonderment. So take a look in your life, you know? Watch what happens in the next, I don't know, 24 hours, just one day. Don't go all crazy but just keep asking yourself "I wonder what's going to happen next" and see what shows up. And consider again that these experiences, they might be something that you do every day, but coming from the space of wonderment, they'll stand out like exclamation marks in your life. Let me know. I'd love to hear. And I'm not expecting, you know, crazy stories of like spontaneous healing and hundreds of thousands of dollars falling into your lap. Sure, those things are quite magical too, right? And they happen. They do happen all the time. I'm lucky enough to hear about stories like that quite often in my life through my community. But bring it closer to home, bring it closer to home. In the next 24 hours, hold that space of wonderment "what's going to happen next" and just let me know what shows up. I'll be really curious to hear.
