President Obama was asked by NBC12 in a February 17, 2011, interview about the recent LiveAction.org investigations showing Planned Parenthood to be a haven for sex traffickers.
The first revelation was Obama's acknowledgment he was aware of the scandal.
Then, while attempting to downplay "these issues" as "manufactured" and only getting attention on "blogosphere," both of which are patently false, Obama made an interesting statement: "I think that Planned Parenthood in the past has done good work."
If Obama were still behind PP he would have said, "I think that Planned Parenthood does good work."
But he didn't. Obama backed away from Planned Parenthood.
Obama went on to admit the obvious, that any "specific problem[s]... should be addressed."
Obama went on to tick off what he considered real problems, none of which had anything to do with what Planned Parenthood does but lining up more with one of the major reasons why the House defunded PP: "Are we dealing with our budget in a serious way, and reducing spending?"
