A very simple twist-based wire-wrapping technique perfect for flat, irregular objects such as beach glass (or seaglass). All you need is some round craft wire (20 or 22 ga), flush cutters and a pencil, but chain-nose and round-nose pliers help make it easier!

February 20, 2012: Hey folks... new PDF tutorial based on this video available for download at http://www.jewelrylessons.com/tutorial/how-wire-wrap-beach-glass-easy-way

PS I recommend turning the sound OFF, as it's just the sound of the dehumidifier in my studio basement and it gets kinda annoying after a while. Sorry, I just don't have the editing chops to deal with this.. YET!

  • Hey, thank you so much for making this video. I needed to learn how to make a beach glass necklace, but all the other videos did not explain enought how to do this. I recently made two of them!

  • @TheMeleemonkey It's getting rarer and rarer! When we were kids we found it by the bucketfull... now with all the plastic bottles and the "keep the planet clean" mentality, it's very scarce. Most of my glass comes from underage drinking down at the shore, best I can tell ;)

  • very helpful thanks very much. is it just me or is beach glass hard to find when your looking for it? i used to stumble on plenty :)

  • @Nightingayle thanks!

  • @miss415x Thanks! I find it difficult to gauge how long it takes to read things, I'm used to reading really quickly. I'll try to adjust the text boxes!
