  • you people are a bunch of idiots. obviously you were not around in 1982 or too young to know it was a great year, much better than the crap today that they call music. and rex smith has a excellent singing voice, very talented man, very unique voice and very strong voice. obviously no one on these comments knows talent.

  • I remember Solid Goid as a kid. Fantastic show which I looked forward to every week. Compare this to today's crap like American Idol - there is no comparison at all!! Its pathetic how music has sunk so low!!!

  • I LOVE the 80's. I was a kid and teenager in the 80's! As for the show.....watched it every week. I grew up watching Solid Gold, Hee Haw, and the Lawrence Welk Show.

  • This was an awesome show...I neve rmissed a show..I loved this show and Dance Fever...I wish these were available on dvd..

  • Rex does an interesting take on "Eye of the Tiger" here. I will never be able to hear that song without thinking of Jensen Ackles from Supernatural ever again though!

    No matter who sings it....

  • Ah, let us suffer the youngsters who weren't there and cannot appreciate what came before. :) I look back on this time with great fondness, and reverence.

  • i was born in 85, but im with u, wish i could be my age now in the 80s, thats my fave music, and rex smith is still a cool dude haha (everlasting love, best version ever)
