Rabbits can be outside because wild rabbits can so why can't pet rabbits be outside? I've had my rabbit for 3 years and when it was snowing they're kept outside... But I want them in when it snows but my mum says they are fine if you have lots and lots of hay, and blankets...

The problem with keeping them outside in most cases isn't weather, it's the amount of space and interaction they get. For most people, it's hard to make sure they get enough exercise and attention if they're outside. You need a lot of space if you want to make them an outdoor play area that's big enough to run and play in but is safe from wild animals, and you need to spend a lot of time outside with them. For most people, it's easier to take good care of them inside.

@xDrzc49 Maybe not where you come from, but here in the Netherlands they DO advise to keep them outside.

@grassmover99 It would make them HAPPIER.
And plus, read any website about caring for bunnies and go to a vet. They would NOT advise a person to keep their rabbit in an outdoor rabbit hutch.

@xDrzc49 The problem is, they don't NEED a heat pad. And a bunny without a heat-pad, you say hi's not happy?
grassmover99 5 months ago
@grassmover99 Rabbits prefer to have heat pads. Deal with that fact. What's the point of having a bunny if it's not going to be happy?
