@badVWbug Boxsters are real porsches. They may be entry level on price, but they have the same high compression flat six and high end suspension as their vastly more expensive big brothers. While they are not "really" fast cars by any means, they will definitely put some of the V8 "muscle" on the road to shame.

Either the Cobra was running slow, or that Boxster driver was a good driver. With 500HP and a lower weight than the Boxster, it should have been much faster than that.

that is probably a small block cobra some had shelby modified 289 engines in a car that weighed 2500 pounds or so the performance is strong. a 427 sc cobra would have destroyed it

The AC Cobra 427 was famous, in part, for the 0-100-0 run. Advertised as doing it in 12 sec. Car magazines couldn't quite duplicate that time, but there was no doubt it was wicked fast. The only way I'll ever have one is winning the lottery. *sigh*
