often people let the term "disability" and the stigma it carries overshadow the abilities of an individual. Individuals with developmental disabilities should be recognized as a person first, and not be characterized by their disability. It's about what people can do, and not what people can't do

@chrisrowley1 That is a very good point. I think we all want to be seen for the things we can do and not the things we can't. In that sense, we are all alike.

@chrisrowley1 My son shot and produced the video. I can't even say I am an expert on the subject. I do have close friends with Down-syndrome and I know them to very in their abilities just like anybody else. This class was dedicated to offering a place that catered to peoples abilities. It was not just a place to hide away those we did not understand. I don't know about how many are churched or not. I just knew about this class and the joy that both students and teachers had in the class.
