I agree, it seemed a little unusual, if not a poor choice. I've found that just a bit of leveling up now and then really helps overall with keeping everyone else alive. It also pays to make smart choices with items.

Too bad he never let the characters level up to get stronger before Poo left. That was a bad move. I always revive any fallen character so I can level more.

So you give hte Hawkeye to Poo, fully well knowing that later you will have to have Escargot Express deliver it from his things?
I mean, I doubt they keep it from you-- they probably give it to you ALA the Pencil Eraser if Paula had it back in Fourside, but..
I dunno, after finally having seen that, the choice to leave Ness Alive while you have an item or two of Lifenoodles finally seems like a chosen mistake to continue...
