  • I was at the 2000 show it was brilliant! The booze up in the evening was fun but being drunk and trudging through all that mud to get to my tent.......Gaaaaaaaaaaaaaah!!!

  • But when your drunk, the mud is more 'fun'...;)

What done my head in was seeing Normans walking up Battle High Street with shields over their shoulder, sword by their side and carrying a lance..O.O

And both AS and N queueing up in the Co-op.

    Very surreal..

  • Bring back Harold, thats all I can say! Great film and a memorable day too. Hope we get to meet there next year.

  • Hello and welcome J. Nice to have you with us. ;O)))

  • Commentary drove me crazy - good film however

  • It drove me nuts as well and I had to hear it all..3hrs.!!

  • Normans....derived from Northmen, Vikings who settled in Normandy...

  • I am from Normandy, I am proud to be Norman and will never see myself as a French.

  • I thing is beter to say " the batle of Weasting "

  • They got a nice chippy in Battle. It has been known for me to wander round Morrisons, Tescos or Sainsbury's in kit, also getting on a bus or train is fun hehehehe!

The mud ah yes I got burled round in the beer tent and landed on my back my kirtle was black after that. I seem to remember also slipping down a slope getting to the tent also climbing up a gate and shouting "stars!"

Gods I was well wasted that night!

  • Saxons spoke Anglo-Saxon not English, so why are they talking in English. Saxon didn't evolve into English a long time after this
