  • RaffyJenny I completely disagree that ALL ADOPTION is about MONEY or that the counselors job is to get women to relinquish their children. There is a way to conduct adoption in a spirit of collaboration and good will - focusing on the best interests of the child. Please look at Ridley and Karen - who have gone to considerable lengths to maintain contact with their daughter's genetic extended family network. Sorry that you had the experience you did. Done well, adoption works for all.

  • I can tell them what adoption looks like for real, as I have lived it for 23 almost 24 years and it is nothing like they make it to to be, mothers are tossed to the garbage most of the time, if reunion takes place a lot of pressure and guilt are put on the child to end it,also the child DOES grow up most of the time feeling like they don't quite fit. This service is NOT for pregnant women this is really for adopters. The counselors job is to convince mother to relinquish all in the name of MONEY

  • What a bright, sensitive young woman, expressing so much empathy.
