1973 AMC Gremlin X Dyno Run: Awsome Power!

The Sloppy Mechanics Fall Dyno Day 2009. Justin's 1973 Gremlin X. 258 Inline six, 904 auto trans. Tried to go for the record of lowest horsepower ever dyno'd there, but fell um.... tall? Record was 68, but the Gremlin pumped out 83hp once the air cleaner was removed.

I had a '74 Gremlin X that sounded exactly like that.

Actually the entire manifold to head gasket is gone!

My dad had an AMC Gremlin, but it wuz a Straight 4, I think

Why swap to a V8? good tuned inline 6 engines looks much more special and unique than a V8 and get much more attention in car shows because allmost every 1 swaps to v8. And well done they have MUCH more low-end torque than a light tuned v8. If u like watch what i did with my 258.

nice grem! Mine used to have the 258, but it was junk so we swapped it out for a 401. =)
