Zack & Wiki: Barbaros's Land (Part 1)

Barbaros's Land

1. Looks like there's nothing you can do but pull that chain. Do it.
2. Watch out, there's spikes down there! Quickly click on the grate to save Zack's life.
3. Hop into the treasure room and pick up the Golden Chalice.
4. Pick up the vase next to the statue to oh so cleverly disguise yourself.
5. Wait for the guard to walk away and hop on the elevator before it leaves.
An eye will see you and knock you off the elevator.
6. Grab the Treasure Vase.
7. Click on the hole in the floor.
8. Wait for the Hench Mummy to walk by and drop the vase on his head by quickly lifting the Wii Remote upwards.
9. Pick up the chalice again and walk to the room to the left.
10. Wait for the eye to fall asleep and pass it.
11. Stand on the switch in front of the Sphinx.
12. Fill the chalice with Gold Flakes.
13. Pass the eye when it dozes off again and stand next to the flag.
14. Wait for the wind to blow towards the robotic eye and tilt the chalice all the way to the left when it does.
15. Walk back into the Sphinx' room and click on the skull.
16. Tilt the skull so that its eye sockets face down.
17. Shake the skull until a lighter falls out.
18. Pick up the lighter.
19. Climb down the rope and step onto the blue tile to change your gravity.
20. Walk all the way to the right, (watch out, there's a guard patrolling here.) and then down. Step on the red tile.
21. Click on the Treasure Vase. A snake will come out. Can't itemize it, you don't have Wiki.
22. Pick up the Lighter you dropped.
23. Click on the vase next to the statue to avoid the guard. Even when he's not around, just wait for him to walk by. It earns you HQ.
24. Wait for the guard to move on. Climb up the ladder.
25. If you happen to see a guard walk to the right, and turning into a hallway going down, move the big rock to crush him.
If the guard down there is nowhere close to going down that hallway, you may want to save this step for later, as there's a guard patrolling your area. Just keep in mind that you need to do this step in order to get the Gravel.
Also, if you happen to have thrown the rock but missed the guard, you can still take him out through a sword fight. (See: Part 2)
26. Walk down to where you crushed the guard. Then, all the way to the left. You can try to use the Lighter on the torch, but Zack will activate a cutscene first, walking through the door.

You know, we never fully learn how Wiki fit into the whole Barbaros plot. Did he start off as a bell that was one of Barbaros's magical treasures, then he one day gained sentience and desided he didn't want to work for him and itemized him to get away, or what...

Well, it's kind of nice to have a LITTLE left for our own imagination in such a cool game.

It's a real shame that the Wii (or, really, any console for that matter) doesn't have more games with style of puzzle solving.
