@xanaischemical this song is called reconstructing science not its been a long time, there isn't even a song called that
-
guitars stop trying to play the portal end theme, it sounds like shit! your shaming the game! go take a long shower, and wash the shame off of you!!
-
Sounds more like "It's Been A Long Time" than "Reconstructing Science". But it's amazing!
-
Reminds me of the song in Halloween 3: Season of the Witch lol

tabs

@tostershadow No, I mean on the slower guitar riff. You hit a D# as the last note, but it should be an E.

WOW. That's strange, even I think my skills on playing guitar quite suck ;) I'm just a programmer, not musician, and that song was just effect of boredom, but I quite liked an effect and uploaded it here. Nice to see that some people like it, but I perfectly understand those, who don't - I also can hear mistakes in this clip, don't worry :P
About tabs - I'll try to write them and post it soon. You can do it on your own too, it shouldn't be hard - it's quite simple and repeating melody.

why do people like this...it sounds nothing like the actual song

@piefish I also don't know why people like this, as my guitar skills are... well, they are not :D But about sounding as original - it's based on original E3 teaser trailer with that slow melody, not faster "Reconstructing science" mix used later on. But still, it's just "based on", it wasn't really meant to sound exactly like original - original doesn't have guitar at all. And I know, it could be better :)

I think the last note's wrong on the riff. It's in harmonic minor, so it should be an E, not a D#.

@GamerandSuch Possible. I don't really know theory of music, I'm just playing with playing guitar in some of my free time ;) I'll check, how it sounds with E instead of D#, thanks!

@GamerandSuch Oh, I checked it and there is no D# :x This is how I played it: F C G G# F C G G# F C G G# B G# G G#. Maybe you meant replacing G# with A?
